Coconut oil gone solid? Here's what to do in winterनारियल का तेल जम जाए तो

Cold pressed coconut oil turns solid and white when the room is cool. Below about 24 °C that is normal. The oil has not gone bad.

Warm water, not a flame

Stand the closed bottle in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes. It will turn clear again. A dropper bottle can be warmed in your hands.

Never heat the glass bottle directly on the stove. Glass and a direct flame do not belong together.

Using it while it is solid

Solid coconut oil can go straight into baking, scooped with a dry spoon. For the tawa or for hair oiling, melt it first with the warm-water method.

In winter, a dropper may be solid when you pick it up. Warm it, then use a few drops. Close it firmly afterwards, and keep water out of the bottle.
